Did any of you guys grow up playing the classic Zelda game on the NES? Oh, it was freaking awesome. I have so many good memories of it.

So when I found out about the Binding of Isaac it was a must-buy. It was about $5 from Steam, and it's about this boy named Isaac. His mother is insane and God told her that she must sacrifice her son to him. YOU. So you escape into the basement into a nightmarish realm full of flies, zombies and terribly indescribable monsters. You're armed with only your tears.

Look familiar?

From half an hour of playing I have to say I recommend it, although I'm getting my butt kicked. The dungeon is randomly generated each time so you never know what to expect.

I don't know. I find the premise rather insultingly sexist. We're going to retell the story of Isaac from Genesis, only instead of his dad being told to sacrifice his son to God, let's switch it around and make it HIS MOM INSTEAD.

I'm sure the game itself is quite well done, but the premise goes from "retelling the story of Abraham and Isaac" to "retelling the story of that crazy bitch who thinks she hears God and Isaac."
