Just a Girl with a lot of Mass Effect feels

Hey everyone, just wanted to say I love this community like burning. It's super great to get to know a lot of other girl gamers and chat about our favorite games :)

I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about a certain Mass Effect Community I just started, fuckyeahshakarian because I have waayyy too many Mass Effect feels (ESPECIALLY after the new Citadel DLC) and wanted a place to swap stories and share the fun.

And if anyone would be up for making a Mass Effect in general community too, I would totally be cool with helping to co-mod that, cause from what I can tell, there ISN'T ONE HERE ON DW. Which is sad. Very sad. I mean, there's the bioware comm which is GREAT but y'know, not Mass Effect specific.

As for me, I'm not going to get into any comms right now because I am very early in ME1 and dislike spoilers, but I'll have to keep these in mind for the future! My laptop has been out of commission for about a week which is frustrating because I just got past the "omg this game is REALLY GOOD I just want to play it NOW" point lol

What kind of Shepard did you choose? A bit of a side topic, but have you played Dragon Age too?

She does but she really doesn't ever use it. She's no longer active at LJ or DW for personal reasons.

No, I haven't played Dragon Age. I think I chose Earthborn/Sole Survivor (is that the question?)

Yes. Yes, hi. I just want to join you in the Mass Effect feels boat. I'm just booting up my Citadel save right now because I'm an eejit and managed to miss a lot of content, but from what I did see it was a really awesome way to celebrate the characters and send the series off. ;;

I was actually wondering where the Mass effect comm on DW was. :<

It was SUCH an amazing send-off, pitch perfect and endearing. It was like a giant hugfest with all the characters for one final farewell.

Would you by chance be up for making one maybe? Co-modding shenanigans? :P

That sums the DLC up perfectly. Traynor's toothbrush scene might have actually been perfection, and all the individual interactions with the cast were just so good.

I've never actually run a comm or anything before, ha. ;; I'd be up for it if you're offering to co-mod, because it's a damn shame there's not a specific comm over here.

OH Traynor, that was ADORABLE. And something I can totally see being made in the future. Sonic toothbrush, doubles as a sonic screwdriver.

It's not too difficult, especially with a co-mod :D The biggest hassle is promoting and getting people interested/posting. It can be pretty low-key.

We could do monthly or weekly themed questions thing (like fic rec week or favorite scene week?) and alternate weeks between us? That way it could be pretty low pressure/time-commitment between the two of us?

Err, any ideas for a comm name? Apparently both masseffect and mass_effect have both been taken, and I'm straining my brain coming to think up something obviously general ME related (things like this are probably the reason I've never run a comm before, ha!).
