Is anyone playing/planning to play Zombies, Run! (iOS) or D. Vincent Baker's Apocalypse World or Dogs in the Vineyard (tabletop RPGs)? Please comment with your experiences/enthusiasm. I'm hoping Zombies, Run! will catch on enough to be a Yuletide fandom. :D Baker-wise, I really like the mechanics, but I'm not feeling the settings, if anyone has advice for what helped them get into the games, or knows of ports of the mechanics.

At least it won't be as bad as FATAL. /shudders in disgust/

Heh, whenever my group expresses reluctance to try something new, I will reassure them with this.

With AW, I mostly used his mediagraphy. (Here is a MUCH LONGER mediagraphy than is in the book: http://apocalypse-world.com/forums/index.php?topic=71.0 ) It helps also that I love "apocalypse stuff" like Fallout, Tank Girl, Transmet...
I should write a blog entry about this on my "actual" blog.

Did you see that John Harper just released an alpha of his AW hack, The Regiment: http://apocalypse-world.com/forums/index.php?topic=2389.0
And he has a Captain America playbook 'just for fun' (http://mightyatom.blogspot.com/2011/07/regiment-super-soldier.html), but it makes me think about using the AW mechanics in a superheroes setting.
