Is anyone playing/planning to play Zombies, Run! (iOS) or D. Vincent Baker's Apocalypse World or Dogs in the Vineyard (tabletop RPGs)? Please comment with your experiences/enthusiasm. I'm hoping Zombies, Run! will catch on enough to be a Yuletide fandom. :D Baker-wise, I really like the mechanics, but I'm not feeling the settings, if anyone has advice for what helped them get into the games, or knows of ports of the mechanics.

I don't play many tabletop games (at least, not since my early junior high years, when I got snared by a bunch crazy D&D girls) but I've heard good things about Apocalypse World. But that's about it.

At least it won't be as bad as FATAL. /shudders in disgust/

I LOVE Apocalypse World, and went in on the IndieGoGo release for Monsterhearts (an AW hack: http://buriedwithoutceremony.com/monsterhearts/).

With AW, I mostly used his mediagraphy. (Here is a MUCH LONGER mediagraphy than is in the book: http://apocalypse-world.com/forums/index.php?topic=71.0 ) It helps also that I love "apocalypse stuff" like Fallout, Tank Girl, Transmet...

I should write a blog entry about this on my "actual" blog.

I did see The Regiment. I'm looking forward to getting a chance to try it!

I want to hack AW for steampunk rule-set...
