They started a sale on the member's loyalty items yesterday when the EoC update was released. You get points for being a subscriber every month. I had 10,500 when I looked. I was saving for a 15,000 Greater Lumberjack aura that increases your chance of getting logs from trees by 5%. You know what? :D It was on sale for exactly 10,500!!! :D I can actually tell a difference with it! :D
I tried combat. I had a slayer task of killing 117 harpie bug swarms. I'm level 152 and they were level 90 and I killed them in like 30 minutes and only had to eat 3 fish for health the whole time. I don't even know how to add abilities to the action bar. I just auto-attacked hehe. Same as combat before.
Then I tried Aberrant Specters this evening which was my new slayer task. They used to be like level 96 when I was level 102 and they hit hard with magic. They only changed to level 104 and they don't hit much or for much damage, but I can't hit them either. :( Even with a +attack prayer and super attack potion I'll miss like 10 times in a row and I tried two different weapons. :( Made me frustrated and I haven't finished them yet. :( The wiki says they are weak to thrown ranged. I don't like the idea of having to specifically use what they are weak to to donut kill stuff. I don't even have throw weapons and I'm not about to buy a lot just for this slayer task. :( I can't imagine fighting something my level. I would probably die almost instantly without even hitting once.
And this girl was fighting werewolves which were level 90 and she was level 160 and could barely hit them too. :( I talked to her for a couple minutes and she says it all sucks and slayer sucks too. :(
The only people I saw that were killing the Specters in a timely manner were almost max level 200. :(
Avenging
I recruited ROGUE! :D She was a crazy 90 command points. Hard to save up for. She's only level 1 right now hehe. I'd train her to level 2, but I have Thing in training for another 3 hours. Training to level 2 is instant though hehe.
I think I'm going to end up with the monthly Spec Ops hero, Ghost Rider. I just need to finish the mission I'm on. I will have to use 25 of my gold to skip the task to kill the epic boss though because you need like 5 specific heroes to get to him and I only have 1 of them. I have 61 though from leveling and getting 1 and stuff like that hehe. :)
I checked my pvp rating this morning and I was in the top 4.8%. O_O I've dropped a couple % since then but that is crazy hehe. I don't think I'll have any problems staying in the top 15% for the weapon reward when the season ends. I haven't been lower than that in at least a week. I'm gonna check what it is now. >_< Top 7% still hehe. There's actually another reward for top 3% which is a nice uniform with 8 gem slots AND a bonus ability that gives you a 25% to do bonus damage when you attack. I don't think I'll get that. I haven't spent money on the game and buying all the crap everyone I fight has.
Joshypoo now believes people spend money on the game. He would come up with other excuses when I would say, "this dude has a whole armoury of pvp items! I wonder how much he spent on that." and not believe they spent so much money and just hacked it. He's been pvping and is in the same boat as me because we are at serious disadvantage to everyone. People our level usually have twice the number of heroes as us (which gives you major bonuses per hero.)
He's also getting cynical about game companies like I am. :P I'm a bad influence! XD
