What would happen if you threw fresh (gotta be fresh) pineapple into a gelatinous cube?

My gamemates say it would just be a massive acid puddle.

Anyway, it was fun to watch my DM's face when I told him that fresh pineapple has an enzyme that will not allow gelatin to gel.
