Never rush back into battle when your companion has told you to run.
I won't describe the battle, but the kobolds outnumbered us by quite a bit. An illusion prevented me from charging in where I could do the most damage, we didn't do more damage from a distance before we went into melee. Last night I lost a D&D character I've been playing for close to a year. I know it's only a game, and characters come and go, but I was rather fond of my Dragonborn cleric, Evaine.
So to her I raise a glass.
and we move on.
Still playing 4th edition D&D, and for my next trick, a deva shaman named Fainche.
How attached do y'all get to your characters?
