If this post has been done before, I apologize. I just wanted to get to know you all a little more and the games you play! A way to do that I feel is learning each other's favorite games and heroes. I know this is constantly changing for some people because of their current fandom (for example, I don't know if I love Samus Aran from Metroid), Chell from Portal, or Claire Redfield from Resident Evil). So:
Who do you like?
What game are they from?
Why do you like him/her?
And some honorable mentions? ;)
For Male:
I love Link from the Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time (even though my favorite Zelda games are Link to the Past and Link's Awakening). There was something about this Link that I loved. I believe the reasoning is more of the game itself. It was so beautifully done, the world was vast and one could explore for hours (looking for all the heart pieces that I never do end up collecting). I felt like I really was Link. Maybe that's why I don't fall in love with him as I do with other video game characters (like Leon S. Kennedy!). He is my hero because I would love to live in his world. <3
For Female:
THIS IS SO HARD! Currently, It's Chell from the Portal series (I WONT SAY SPOILERS!). Is she my all time? I'm not sure. I know for a fact that GLaDOS is my all time favorite villian! But that's not what this is about. She's just those characters you wonder about, and the fact that she never speaks (like Link). She never gives anyone the satisfaction of her voice and there's so much mystery surrounding her. Like the Lab Rat Comic has to show, [don't read if you haven't read comic]Chell has a high level of tenacity and NEVER gives up! <3[/don't read]. I just love her.
Honorable Mentions:
Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil - He's hot! <3
Drake from Uncharted - He's funny.
Samus from Metroid - She's just badass. Until Other M came around and reared it's ugly head.
Claire Redfield - She has high tenacity too. ; )
I know there's so much more but I forget since I just started babbling.

Heroine: This is hard because I only really play JRPGs and they are notoriously misogynistic. But I guess the one who stands out in my mind is Lilika from Rogue Galaxy. She's not the main heroine, but she is awesome nevertheless.
Honorable mentions: Zack from Crisis Core for being the first multi-dimensional protagonist in a Final Fantasy ever. Garnet from Final Fantasy IX, because even though she was a princess character, she was well-rounded and actually did her own thing instead of blindly following the hero.

Heroine: Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3
Honorable Mention: Miku from Fatal Frame, CJ from GTA:SA, Cortez from Timesplitters, and of course the inevitable Crash Bandicoot XD way too many more to list, though.
