I haven't posted on DW in a while, but I want to be more active on here again.

What game are you currently playing?

I'm playing The 3rd Birthday on my PSP Go. <3

Side note: I'd love to make some friends here. Also, I play COD Black Ops occasionally on PS3, and my gamertag is tifabreakhearts so if anyone wants to add me there, please feel free.

Epic Battle Fantasy 3 on Kongregate. Reloading Sims 3 but it took so long I haven't fired it up yet. I have finally put away Patrician 3 (no idea *why* I enjoyed it so much, since it's basically lists of numbers and doing the same thing over and over).

And Minecraft. Always Minecraft. I feel about Minecraft the same way some people do about the buildings they are building in their basements out of matchsticks.

Currently on a break due to computer issues but it still counts: Final Fantasy 7. Yes, I'm late for the party and loving it and I'd probably make more progress if I wasn't doing a Let's Play for a friend and racing chocobos.

I've also tried my hand at Silent Hill a few days ago, but I'm a wuss that throws away the control and runs out of the room the moment something scary happens.

Final Fantasy is pretty awesome. Nothing wrong with being late to the part so long as you show up eventually. ;D

I haven't played much of Silent Hill except for 2, and I loved it. I'd turn off the lights and play it when the bf was at work until I couldn't take it anymore. I've been thinking about getting some of the newer games for the PS3 or PSP but I didn't know which ones were good.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. I bought it awhile ago with the intention of playing them all through from the beginning, but didn't haha. I had nothing else to play so.

I'm playing Portal 2. I love it. It's such a funny game, and I always feel accomplished after solving a particularly hard room. <3 Wheatley.

I'm also playing Gears of War2. I still haven't beat it (I play it with my bf), but we're having a lot of fun going through horde mode and trying to see how far we can make it).

How is 3rd Birthday? I considered it before the PSN went down. I've never played any of the Parasite Eve games. I'm also going nuts waiting for the Sony Store to come back up. I want to get ModNation Racers as my free PSP game.

BFF and I are playing through Assassin's Creed (all of them) on her boyfriend's xbox, since I don't have one. ;_; I am madly in love with Altair's story, even though his game is not as awesome (so. repetative.) as Ezio's. We're partway through AC2 now and I have just gotten to the part where I can upgrade the villa. *_* I'm hardcore fangirling this series right now, so if anyone wants to squee about Altair with me, that would be rad.

I've also been replaying Twilight Princess because it's awesome.

I wanna squee about Assassin's Creed with you! It's my favorite game series right now. Even though the first game was repetitive, I really liked it. The atmosphere was just more... assassin-y, if that makes sense (I liked how you had to find the viewpoints for the new districts on your own instead of them being marked on your map, for example). Even though ACII and ACB are technically better games as far as gameplay and mechanics go, I miss the atmosphere from the first game. I'm ridiculously excited for Revelations in November. Altair returns!

I really enjoyed upgrading the villa, too! I'm a big fan of the RPG elements that were integrated into the series. You'll probably love ACB when you get to it since you literally renovate the entire city of Rome. *___* <3

FFVII replay for the umteempth time.

I had been in the middle of FFXII a few months ago, and stalled out. I have....issues with momentum.
lunarwolfik: (LV - Parker Wink)

Wayyyy too many RPGS that are stalled at various points in time and space. There's Dragon Age: Origins, FFXIII, Mass Effect and Pokemon (does Pokemon count as an RPG???), Mario Galaxy, Donkey Kong (the new one for the Wii) and FFX-2 (along with every FF game ever really, I play them sporadically and have never actually *finished* one because I usually get stuck at a point where grinding is the only way to advance and I HATE grinding)

Plus there's the pick up and play shoot 'em up games of Modern Warfare and Call of Duty (more MW than CoD really) and a little Halo too. If you wanna get into the games I *want* to play but haven't started yet, oh jeez...

From: [personal profile] cavocorax

Ohhh I hear you about getting stalled out on RPG's. My problem is that if I stall out too long I don't feel familiar enough with the world and whatever it was I was working on (or towards, if I was trying to get specific skills), and then I feel compelled to just start over again. :|

A lot of the time I just watch the bf play (as he hogs the tv) and at the very least I get to find out what happens, but for games like Mass Effect I feel like I immediately need to do it myself and see how I can change the ending.

I've been playing Dragon Age II, which I love to tiny little pieces.

Also, this week I've been playing CoD: Black Ops on my XBox 360, even though I suck, because sometimes I enjoy getting my aggression out like that. :D

I'm currently replaying Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360 for the second time... but I need a new Xbox. The one I have is heading towards an E74 and I need to send it back to Gamestop. :[

Before the 360 started crapping out, I also bought the single-player DLCs for Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and played through them. <3

I am almost finished with my replay of Dragon Age: Origins, and I plan to move onto Awakening and the rest of the DLC next. Totally, totally in love with this game.

Also, my husband and I started Little Big Planet recently, which is fun as a platformer, although I don't know if I'll do much with the level building aspects.

I'm playing Portal 2, Deathsmiles IIX and Phantasy Star Universe on my 360, and Phantasy Star Portable 2 and DJ Max on my PSP.

I played through the 3rd Birthday not too long ago. I loved the gameplay but the plot and changes to the series really irritated me.

I'm replaying Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. At a friend's suggestion I installed Open Cities and Mart's Monster Mod. It's much more exciting and unpredictable now.

Currently playing FFIV: The Complete Collection -- re-playing the original game for the umpteenth time, enjoyed the Interlude, and am enjoying The After Years.

Also slowly re-playing FF7 from the PSN, and loving Dragon Age for the first time. :D

From: [personal profile] cavocorax

Did you think FFIV, with all the added content, was worth the $30 asking price? I was excited to get it, but decided to wait for a sale.

I played FF1 a few months back and found it too grindy and boring to get into. I realise the later FF's were a lot better but I'm afraid that I won't enjoy the old games as much as I do the newer ones (FF7-10).

Lately I was in the mood for a little light RPG-ish hack and slash thingie, so I picked up DeathSpank on my XBox!
