Hi, everyone! New to this community and to Dreamwidth; figured I'd introduce myself. I'm a mid-twenties lady (or "individual of mysterious and indistinct gender", depending what kind of mood I'm in) of mixed race from Canada, and I've been into video games as long as they've existed. The stuff I love mostly skews towards narrative-based games, from classic LucasArts adventures (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle) to experimental interactive fiction (Photopia, Galatea, Blue Lacuna), though they'll occasionally venture mainstream as well. Lately, I've been playing a lot of Echo Bazaar -- I usually get tired of games where you have to grind a lot, but the darkly humourous writing makes it worthwhile. :)
I'm also an indie game developer, which I blog about on my public site. Recently, I released an ambitious little project called Life Flashes By, which is currently in open beta and available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. I've also done a little work on some higher profile games, such as DeathSpank and the first Sam & Max series by Telltale, and have spoken on a few panels at PAX in Seattle.
Nice to meet you all!
