Introduction :)

 Hello, just joined and I thought I'd introduce myself. Was a member of the LJ community girl_gamers but I noticed the other day it had been deleted, no idea why... anyhow.

I'm a varied gamer, I'm quite happy to play anything that's fun! Big fan of FPS and RPGs (huge, huge 'Fallout' fan - bought an xbox just to play the new game as there was no chance of my laptop playing it!). Pretty much love things with a challenging adventure to them. I used to call myself a PC gamer but as games get more advanced I end up playing them on my xbox because I don't have the money/time/energy to upgrade/replace my laptop.

Like you I've moved from PC gaming to xBox gaming as I can't afford to keep upgrading my laptop.

That's my problem as well; I often think about getting a desktop computer but I don't really think it's worth it. One day when I suddenly win the lottery, then I might :P

I bought a very fancy desktop last year and I almost never play on it because I'm just so unused to sitting at a desk to play games now. Still its there for me to play games that don't come out on xBox :)

Oh I know that problem. Sometimes I can't be bothered to sit and install something I fancy playing!

Mod had a transphobic moment and decided to delete the whole comm in a tantrum over being called out on it.

I don't play PC games much; I actually prefer the console controls, somehow. And I love RPGs, especially JRPGs, and platformers. I'm playing Ape Escape 2 right now :)

Wow... 0_0 that's a bit extreme!

Something similar happened to me a few years ago, I used to be a moderator on a Harry Potter discussion list the owner had always had a 'no slash' rule which was fine because there's more to life than slash, but when JK Rowling said that Dumbledore was gay she deleted the community because she could no longer support the 'corruption of children'. Weird moment.

I don't get on with JRPGs, no idea why. The closest I think I've played to a JRPG in terms of scope are 'Dragon Age' and 'Mass Effect' (both of I love!)
