I... pvped... I said I would never do that again. :S Blargh!!! It's not really true pvp because although you fight a player's team and setup, the computer controls it and they aren't there.
All month they've had this stupid ad for Deadpool that you can win "early" by getting in the top 1000 out of like 2 million people in the pvp season which ends in 10 days. I did ONE battle because if you did one ranked fight you get a reward of 100k silver at the end of the season AND more importantly it removed the popup for Deadpool. About 3 days ago I looked and my rating was 788 because I lost that first fight, but the ladder said I was in the top 48% haha. The next tier reward is 10 gold (the real money currency in game) if you get in the top 35%. I wondered how hard that would be to get and sadly I caved and tried two matches and won both.
I thought, "Wow this is easy!" And continued but ended up after 10 fights with a rating of 786 hehe. Worse than what I started with. I don't read wikis or guides on pvp like other people apparently do. But with Captain America and a few more fights I now have a rating of 819 and it says I'm in the top 35% and advanced me to that reward bracket.
I don't plan to do ANYmore! Well, unless someone gets me as a random opponent and I lose and my rating drops again. I'm just hoping I'll get lucky and never end up someone's opponent and I sneak in the 10 gold reward. :P
I'm rather at a disadvantage to almost all my opponents. You fight people near your level, but everyone else has many more heroes (bonus for each one you have) that are all higher level than mine (more bonus), a LOT had pvp items (more bonus and they cost real money) and 1/3 of them I noticed had the fourth weapon slot unlocked which you don't get til level 60. I'm level 38 now. So either they hacked or they actually spent the 254 gold to unlock it. That's more than $50 worth of gold. Yikes. I totally don't think winning the pvp rewards is worth spending as much money as I guess these people do.
I figure the winners of the hero at the end will be the people that hacked the most or spent the most real money hehe. And it's extra dumb because you'll be able to get him for free with command points soon after the season ends.
Someone hook me up with a great big wad of disposable cash! :D
