I spent money on City of Heroes... :/ Gah, but I'm really getting back into it. Y_Y

I paid for a non-recurring 1 month sub yesterday. I got my 400 monthly bonus Paragon Points at the time I did it. I'll get the vet reward token at the end of the month. I can access my bases where I store tons of stuff among other things I missed. :)

That was $15. Then I bought $15 worth of Paragon Points. :/ I used it and a little more on 24 random packs which I said I would never buy. :S I do not feel that guilty though. I got some things I wanted. Basically I was running out of the in-game money (I had less than 250 million) and knew that using the stuff in the random packs can lead to money. Like I got over 1,000 reward merits which I can buy recipes with, craft them and sell for hundreds of millions. I got some special enhancements that I wanted so I don't have to buy them. Worth tens of millions too.

I also got 9 experienced power which is very nice. I like those a lot and all my characters start with 10 of them because of my vet rewards. :) Each EP used gives you half a level of patrol (rested xp in other games) which leads to double xp until the patrol is used. I also got 4 xp boosters which gives you a 25% bonus to xp for 1 hour.

Anyway, I got good stuff. Which makes me think I'll end up buying again in the future and I don't wanna do that. >_<

Oh and the reason I bought 24 of the packs is because you can buy them single for 80 points each, 12 for 70 each or 24 for 60 each. >_>
I play D&D most Saturdays with a wonderful band of people that I have dubbed the Overthinkers. If you overhead one of our sessions, you'd understand. We're currently rotating two campaigns and there's another in the bag. Back in May, an idea began to take form in my brain and suddenly, I've found myself with a world, a story and only a vague idea of how to keep the players at least loosely on the rails.

Any suggestions? I'm pretty comfortable structuring battles. I'm concerned I made the skill challenges a little too hard--what's obvious to me might be subtle to them.
I've been thinking about getting a new Nintendo DS. I have a DS Lite but my daughter broke hers and so she has been using mine. However, now they have the DSi and the 3DS, and I don't really know if there's any advantage to them. Will I regret it is I don't get the newest and best? Thoughts?
