Ok. This sort of thing is, as far as I can tell, a problem in most games that allow gender customization for one's character, but Runescape has been pretty good about this until recently and I really don't like my last bastion of reasonable armor going the way of the boobies. Therefore, rant ahoy!

Image heavy behind the cut! )

So! Who else is incredibly frustrated by the tendency in games for female 'armor' to be designed to show off the wearer's body, while the exact same piece of equipment actually covers their male counterpart like armor should? Anyone else have stories of changing graphics increasing that inequality?
I rolled my eyes when this happened about half an hour ago. But I bet some of you have had similar experiences. :)

I was building things in my house and gained a level and found out I needed six candles for a new item. I didn't have any candles. I only know of four ways to get them: Buying them on the Exchange Market, crafting them (but I dunno if I have the required level or even how), buying them from this woman in a swamp for 1,000 gp each, or collecting them 1 at a time in an abbey and waiting for respawn.

I went to the market first and the recommended price was only 94gp each. I put up a bid for 200gp each assuming I'd get them and part of my money back. because that's the way it works. Nope not even one. Bleeeh. So I changed my bid to like 110gp each and headed to the abbey, which is a little bit of a stroll, and picked one up. Waited... the respawn rate rather sucks or I was impatient, but once I got them, *DING* Market notice that someone just sold them to me. :P

Yep, that's my luck. :P
I just finished farming up the main pieces of the Enigma Robes set; I want to get the belt that matches though, and I need a matching bracer/cloak/gloves (since they aren't included in the set). I have the boot mats so I'll be getting those next week, along with hoping that my belt drops. Sadly the robe gives the appearance of wearing bracers, but it seems to be overridden when I actually equip a pair of bracers. That makes me sad, since finding a set of bracers that look good with the set is difficult.

The Enigma Robes aren't a true tier set, but they were the highest gear you could fish out of Vanilla WoW, and are fairly unique in color (teal). It's the only set I've liked enough to bother hunting down, especially the circlet; most of the head items are awful!

I also have the majority of the Arcanist set out of Molten Core, but that's because I run MC for Hydraxian Waterlords rep every week. The only thing I'm missing to make that set wearable is the hat, which is KEY to that set.

Click for Fae.

I just discovered MogIt (add-on for transmog stuff) and it's quite fabulous!
As the subject says, but first I wanna say something(s) about those Cow Killing Bots.
It's no wonder the gold selling sites make characters to do that. The ones just a few days ago were like level 9 and this morning I saw 2 of them still there and they were both level 70. So yeah, haven't been banned yet. Think Jagex only purges bots every 2-4 weeks all at once. That gives them plenty of time to get high enough level to bot on green dragons and make money, which I read was their goal.

Now... the second type of bot I wanna talk about!

Firemaking Bots in Varrock!

Here's a picture of what was going on today with two player bots outside of the eastern Varrock bank. (I deleted my character out)

Over the weekend was the second beta event for Guild wars 2. So far Arenanet has impressed me greatly with the game. I was never a big Guild wars fan since I was playing wow at the time, but I have to say I am really, really impressed.

Is there anyone else out there looking forwards to Guild Wars 2 as well?  If so what are you playing as, or are interested in playing?

I tried out a few classes and so far and the two I really like is the mesmer and the elementalist. To those who have no idea what the crazy person is babbling about, the mesmer uses illusion based magic and can be ranged or melee and the elementalist is ranged that uses elemental magic (fire, water/ice, lighting/air, earth).

What I am most impressed about is the different spells you can unlock depending on the weapon and weapon combos you use. For my mesmer I like the sword and torch combo for melee and the greatsword or scepter/torch for ranged.

For my elementalist, I liked using daggers, but quickly fell in love with using the staff.

I do have to say that the game sometimes got frustrating from time to time when the difficulty of a quest seemed disproportionate to the level. I can freely admit however that I am not used to playing on my own so much anymore as I've been playing mmos with my husband the last three years so my soloing skills have atrophied.

I can't wait for the next beta event, or even another 7 hr stress test!
