[personal profile] foxfirefey suggested I join up here when I got a little squeeful about Mass Effect 2 in my journal.

Can we talk about how goddamn amazing the world-building in ME2 is? game spoilers within, probably )

I'm in the middle of playthrough and I'm shocked all over again about how much work BioWare put into this series. Amazing stuff.

Anyone else head-over-heels for Mass Effect too?

(Tangentially related, one of the BioWare dudes confirmed there's going to be a trailer for ME3 with FemShep. YAY JENNIFER HALE.)
It kinda hit me that despite all my recent commenting I never actually introduced myself to the comm *facepalm*

My name's Patricia and I'm from Venezuela. Gaming wise I was not as dedicated as others back in my childhood - I did own and Nintendo once and remember fondly finishing Ducktales and The Little Mermaid (Did I ever finish Final Fantasy I? I'm pretty sure I did) - Never quite got around finishing Mario or Chip 'n Dale :-(

After that there wasn't much gaming in my life except for a few months two years ago when a friend loaned me a Playstation (the original one). Fun times. From that time onwards I've been mostly a PC games kinda gal, hidden object ones specially (I have a love/hate thing going with them). Then I got curious and decided to give Final Fantasy another try and went with Final Fantasy VII. I am loving it so much (currently on a little break only because my computer's at the shop, but hoping to resume playing soon) and I've been doing a Let's Play for a friend with way too many screencaps (Life. I don't have one.)

Next thing I know, I'm hooked on chocobo races and expanding my gaming interests, adding game after game to my "To Play" list. I specially love survival horror - despite my being a coward who cannot sleep for days after playing - rpg, hidden object, visual novel, interactive fiction and platformer and my weapon of choice is a PC. I do get try Playstations and Wii at friend's houses, but I never quite get used to them.

As for favorite games (not all of them finished, but I'll get to it. I swear!): Final Fantasy I, The Path, Final Fantasy VII, Fallout, Silent Hill, The Sims, The Sims 3 (I just realized I never played the Sims 2. Aw.) Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper, Portal, Final Fantasy Tactics, Ever17, Remember11, Contra, Ducktales and I'm sure there are many more I cannot remember right now.

wow, that was longer than I thought it would be! I look forward to keep feeding my addiction continue meeting fellow gamers and get to know more about many other games!

Hello everyone! I joined here not to long ago but finally got around to posting! I'm a big Nintendo and Legend of Zelda fan! I love PS3, and currently into Portal 2! I love Resident Evil and LOVE Leon S. Kennedy. <3 Hope you're all doing well and we can get into some serious discussions on here! <3 Feel free to add me, I'm looking for some friends. <3

Currently I'm playing Harvest Moon for the SNES. Well, I'm playing it on Virtual Console for the Wii. <3

I joined a couple of days/weeks ago. Figured it's time to do an intro!

I'm both a table-top gamer (when I have friends who are interested, at least) and a computer gamer. Generally the latter.

I'm notoriously bad at finishing games. I think the last game I actually completed was Jade Empire (on easy mode). I'm currently determined to complete Portal 2, and trying my best not to play any other game until it's finished. Although... Sims 3 Generations may change that.

I play on all sorts of platforms: PC (for Sims and most Bioware games), Wii (for Mario/Zelda/Wii Fit games), and Playstation for the more adult games (Portal 2, Heavy Rain, Assassins Creed).

My favourite game of all time is probably Mario Kart 64 - mainly due to memories of my student days. I recently got reacquainted to one of gods of the game from university, and he and I played the wii version online with some colleagues. I was mortified to find that he didn't win after I'd bigged him up! I also love Tetris Attack on the SNES/Original Gameboy, later rebranded as Pokemon Puzzle League. Crossing my fingers that they'll one day allow you to buy it through the Wii.

Nowadays I'll probably buy any Bioware game going (love Dragonage and Mass Effect, and can't wait for Knights of the Republic when it comes out - I gave up World of Warcraft several years ago and am looking forward to an MMORG I can get my teeth into - I'm hopeful that combining Bioware with Star Wars will do the trick).

Does anyone else have a favourite game creator?

Well, I think that just about sums me up. One day I might complete a second game. You never know.
