i don't think it's necessarily a 'somehow' thing! haha. i think that it's a lot more intuitive toward community-building and personal relationships than the standard "i'll talk at you" system of most sites and the "let's see what friends from 20 years ago are saying" system of, uhm, a certain site, haha.

things make more sense to me; and i think that meeting people to whom this system is also preferable will be uniformly more pleasant!
