Runescape Bots Pt. 2
As the subject says, but first I wanna say something(s) about those Cow Killing Bots.
It's no wonder the gold selling sites make characters to do that. The ones just a few days ago were like level 9 and this morning I saw 2 of them still there and they were both level 70. So yeah, haven't been banned yet. Think Jagex only purges bots every 2-4 weeks all at once. That gives them plenty of time to get high enough level to bot on green dragons and make money, which I read was their goal.
Now... the second type of bot I wanna talk about!
Firemaking Bots in Varrock!
With this type I have NO CLUE whatsoever why the people still do it. High level firemaking isn't really any different from low level except there's at least a few quests that have a firemaking level requirement. Firemaking is... making a fire which you can cook some things over that don't require a stove/oven.
Last month I think it was? Jagex introduced "bonfires" which changed the way normal people get firemaking experience.
Previously you'd have to light a fire with your choice/capability of logs one after another, usually generating lines of campfires. Now after allll these years, you only have to light one fire. And while it's burning you and anyone else can just "add logs" to it which actually gives you more experience than lighting multiple fires and depending on the type of logs, gives you a % hit points buff that can last quite a while. And if multiple people are doing it to the same fire the experience is even further boosted. :)
Here's a picture of what was going on today with two player bots outside of the eastern Varrock bank. (I deleted my character out)
As you can see there sure are a lot of campfires. :P And if you watch the people for a while you can notice the pattern of where they start each line.
These bots couldn't be more obvious to anyone who isn't new. And both Varrock Banks are two of the most heavily traveled spots in the whole game. I think everyone goes there at times. Me? I'm there a few times throughout each day I play.
This is why I said I have NO CLUE why these people still do it. You probably think they are new players right? Nope lol! Most of the ones I've seen and reported over the last two days were combat level 100+ (max is 138) and the one I actually looked up the whole stats for had at least one max level skill (99) and the rest were pretty darn high!
WHY do these people do it? I can't imagine them not being banned during a bot purge because hundreds of people probably see them as they are at it for hours and hours.
